Putting controversial comments "In Context"

Political controversies these days often center on short sound bites, one- or two-sentence snippets that fuel the outrage of the day.

When you hear those comments, do you find yourself wondering What else did he say?

We do.

That's why we created our new In Context series -- to put the outrage of the day in full context so you can better assess the comment (and whether you should be outraged!).

Our latest In Context deals with the Etch A Sketch comments by Mitt Romney aide Eric Fehrnstrom. We've also done stories on Bill Maher's comments about women, Mitt Romney's comments about whether he cares for the very poor and on Rick Santorum's remarks on Satan.

Fact-checking is still the heart of what we do, but the In Context series adds an extra dimension that helps you put today's political battles in perspective.

Speaking of fact-checking, make sure you check out some of our recent work on:

Cheers,

Bill
